Jack U – Mind (Slander Remix)

The notorious future bass/trap duo Slander are back with another instalment of riveting festival anthem music. This time, the duo have set to re-working a tune in which Sonny actually sings. Definitely want to check this out if you’re interested to hear that.

The guitar-work in the song actually brings it up yet even ANOTHER level – to the point that it kind of transcends the electronic world of genres and becomes a truly unique blend of sounds. The duo speak of how they “wanted to create a whole new vibe”, and I think there’s no denying that they pulled it off!

Check it out, and enjoy.

Coyote Kisses – Waiting for you feat. Madison Love

Coyote Kisses have been busy writing the soundtrack to my summer. Their new single featuring Madison Love is everything that a festival fanatic such as myself hunts for in a banger.

When I look for new music, I’m always searching for sounds that I’ve never heard before. Sure, it’s always good to re-work classic vibes and some will argue that there’s no point in reinventing the wheel, but I disagree. I absolutely love it when a producer experiments and creates new sounds. That’a why I love Coyote Kisses. The sound design that goes into each production is astounding.

“The CK take on pop music”. – Coyote Kisses. Enough said.

BläpDëli – Wristfulla Problems

One of my favourite up and comer producers has just delivered once again.

With a hard hitting, yet textured anthem of a track “Wristfulla Problems” garners a huge sound that pays homage to hiphop roots while maintaining a shimmering future bass vibe that is sure to light up clubs across the country.

Drawing influence from huge names such as Keys N Krates, KRNE, etc. – BläpDëli aka Emmett Kai is making waves in the scene.

ALISON WONDERLAND – GO (WHOMPZ REMIX)

Electronic music is literally saturated with GOOD production these days. You are no longer required to be “good” at producing music to be successful in this industry. No, you now need to be AMAZING.

Introducing whompz – a new producer that a friend recently introduced me to – creating a new spin on the future bass genre that lends itself well to orgasmic layered tones as well as organic vocal melodies harmonizing over top.

Check it out, and keep your eye on this one.

Vibes O’Clock

Summer is finally upon us; time once again to shift the rolodexes of our musical taste toward vibrant sounds that will keep us up late at night. As I’ve been travelling these past few weeks, I’ve also found these tracks to be the perfect soundtrack for a busy road trip schedule. It’s easy to fall behind in your musical searches which is what makes playlists like this such a great resource.

Hope you enjoy!

Daft Punk – Doing It Right (k?d Remix)

K?d is one of those cross disciplined artists who I look up to for multiple reasons. Not only does he make some of the catchiest rhythms in electronic music that I’ve stumbled upon in recent discovery sessions. Aside from producing this music, he’s also an amazing illustrator, as showcased in the graphic identity of this project. A must see effort, all in all.

Going in on the infectiously memorable Daft Punk classic, Doin It Right, K?D puts a spin somewhere in between Porter Robinson and Wheathin – the tune is begging to be fucked with by all.

Major Lazer – Be Together (Wildfire Remix)

Paul O’Brien aka Wildfire has been on the steady rise since his recent release of Alison Wonderland‘s single “Run” (featured below).

Screen Shot 2016-04-20 at 3.11.22 PM

Future Bass has been a very mysterious genre until recently, with more popular artists such as Keys N Krates, Flume etc. taking a leading role in the foundation of the sound – it has been adapted by more underground artists such as KRNE, MYRNE, AIRWAV, etc.  The result is a very interesting brand of pseudo EDM/hip hop that resonates energy and emotional but good vibes.

Check out that new and stay in the loop:

Here’s that other remix I had mentioned – I feel as though I’ve included it before (?) but it deserves the extra love anyway. I still bang this one from time to time:

BläpDëli – Maserati

The American beat scene is definitely one of tremendous creativity and world-class intrigue. This slow-burner of a deep boom-bap vibe by BläpDëli recently caught my eye, and I’ve been rinsing it ever since. Emmett Kai is a new producer who has been producing interesting sounds in the vein of Flying Lotus, and other amazing Soulection-esque artists. I’ve got mad love for this guy.

Check out that new:

TUNJI IGE & ILOVEMAKONNEN – DON’T DO TOO MUCH (Cavalier Remix)

Cavalier is one of those producers that do whatever the fuck they want, don’t follow trends in festival circuits and pop meta, but most importantly, consistently amaze and impress their dedicated fans with unique and boundary pushing beats that always leave room for discussion.

With pop sensibilities over-riding underground hip-hop undertones, this young producer has already made waves in the electronic and hip-hop communities alike. I’m very excited to see where his career takes him.

Enjoy.
