Nymano is a beatmaker out of Nancy, France. His debut album, “Short Stories”, is aptly named for the 18 tracks it weaves together like a series of short-lived experiences, each one cultivating a different mood or emotion while still coming together as one cohesive tape. Haunting piano meets jazzy rhythms in this low-fi masterpiece, livened up with samples from such classics as “Hey Arnold”,” “Bojack Horseman” and “Cowboy Bebop.” Kick back and let this one wash over you in the evening, or on a long bus ride out of the city.
