Canadian duo Smalltown DJs have returned to Hood Politics Records with a free edit of KH (Four Tet) – “Only Human.” KH’s original “Only Human” (released under Kieran Hebden’s KH alias) is a UK garage-leaning house weapon that samples Nelly Furtado’s “Afraid.” It spent years as a secret weapon in sets by Ben UFO, Peggy Gou, Joy Orbison and others before its official 2019 drop on Ministry of Sound/Text. The Hood Politics write-up calls it “an absolutely lethal rework” that flips the anthem “into a party ready roller with a brand new energy.”
