OK kids. I am a huuuuggeee feminist. serious. That, and most of my time is spent trolling the internet for sizzurp induced audio treats… Well, once in a while we get the opportunity to show support for our women, and be selfless dudes and gals. So as I became aware of this campaign when posting their new single with young Johnny Graves, I figured I would go full tilt and support it with all my prune-like heart’s strength.
Today the Pegboard Nerds have released their first EP in a long long time.

Most people know them for their contribution to the Dubstep and hard bass music scene. Well, this my friends, is a newer sound to the Nerds. It is something incredible. Each track brings something new to the table and these guys are two of the most talented producers in EDM. Besides the music, it’s all for charity!
On October 1st the Pegboard Nerds released “Pink Cloud” ft. Max Collins and announced that they are on a quest to fight breast cancer and have partnered up with F*ck Cancer and Monstercat to raise money for Breast Cancer early detection prevention and awareness.
On October 9th, they followed up with “
Just Like That” featuring 17 year old
Johnny Graves alongside Konrad OldMoney. The song was an instant hit and had some of the Pegboard Nerds typical sound mixed in to a melodic chill song with an amazing drop. Here is the jump
At this point the Nerds have almost raised $20,000 and last week they released a highly anticipated song “Emoji”. Parsberg of the Nerds once played the song live and shared “This is our song Emoji, it’s never coming out.” Well, he tricked all of Nerd Nation and gave the world a hit that was also featured in Don Diablo’s Hexagon radio show.
Today the Nerds are going to blow past raising $20,000 for breast cancer and release the EP which you can buy on iTunes or PegboardNerds.com. All of the proceeds from both go to the cause and these guys are bringing people together with their music. “Downhearted” and “End Is Near” were the final two tracks to be released and they came out today. “End is Near” is the classic “Fire in the Hole” track from the Nerds turned into a VIP version. Odden’s unique vocals help make the song a banger and “Downhearted” is a unique sound from the Nerds but ties into together with this whole EP.
I got a chance to talk to these Parsberg and Odden guys. And the campaign does not stop here. They have a lot in store for the rest of 2015 and are excited for the new year as well. Help support the cause at
pegboardnerds.com !!
