HEY KIDS!
For those that follow yours truly on here, you can probably suss out by now that I post whatever I feel is vibey and cool. The worst thing is a song without a mood. Well today you get a mood. Some cool summer breezy synths and falsetto vocals to set the tone for a nice sunny drive. Hailing from Nashville, I bring you Andrew de Torres. The singer / songwriter behind KAPTAN . This fella is pop in good ways. The world is all sorts of fucked up right now. So it’s nice to see happy music hitting my inbox. I sure as hell need it, and I appreciate artists for providing me with such.
Here are a few words from Andrew:
“My bass player (Brandon Day) and I wrote Jump together. We really just wanted to write a song about supporting the people that we love who may be going through their own obstacles, a song about togetherness, which has been kind of an ongoing theme for the bands music. We produced the track together (mostly him haha) in his little writers room, tried to pack it full of good vibes and then had our drummer (Kirk Ellis) re-track drums. The track really came together after having our good friend, Brandon Metcalf mix it and then handed it off to this amazing mastering engineer Dan Shike. We really couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out and just hope people enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
Guap. Out.
