If you’re a fan of Grimes, and other rad experimental up and comers, you should DEFINITELY hop on this young talented musician. Loving this laid back 80’s vibe. I can see big things on the horizon for this young girl. Glad this hit my inbox for sure.

“A new female singer/songwriter has popped up in the mix recently, and she goes by the name of HANA. She’s currently being mentored by Canadian songwriter/producer Grimes and her accomplice Blood Diamond and could be the next big thing. Her track “Clay,” of which her and Blood Diamonds produced, that was just released has a transparency to it, giving her voice a raw aspect that ranges all over the choral map. Check it out, and if you dig, keep an eye out for HANA in the future.”

Here are some jams that I’ve been killing lately. It’s a big mash of homies and people we met on the road these past couple months. Hope you enjoy!

Yo guys, got some tracks I thought y’all would dig today! It’s a pretty eclectic mix, but I had to pass them along. I’ve been digging more downtempo styled RnB influenced music lately, and it’s been growing in me ever since. Some of that new from Oshi, On and On Records, etc.

This kids got some incredible RnB prowess behind the production steering wheel that, as a producer myself, I can’t quite come to grasp. Given that, I have been jamming his shit non-stop for at least 2-3 months now.

The numbers speak for themselves: the tunes been out for 2 hours – 4000 people have listened to the song, 1000 of them have given forth their <3 in recognition of its unique beauty. That’s one in every four people – fucking incredible if you ask me. All eyes on the kid – really excited to hear what he comes up with next.

Shoutout the whole Soulection crew for putting out amazing and unique music that blends so well with the club scene and sheds great light on all involved.

France’s Phazz has been killing it since day one – if you’re into future RnB / heavy hiphop beats, this guy should be on your radar. Everydayz & Phazz’s combined effort on this full-length LP is phenomenal. I’ve listened to the entire release from start to finish and I must say that I’m very impressed with the quality of production but also simply the tasteful use of sampling throughout.

Had to bring this one to the table. Purchase on iTunes and Spotify!

Roche Musique is one of those french funk labels that can do no wrong – initially bringing FKJ to the fore-front of my personal listening radar – I’ve recently learned that they have caught wind of Canadian jazz/funk prodigy producers Pomo in conjunction with the young and venerable Tennyson and have released an official remix featuring them both. I can’t believe it.
