Falcons – Falcon Eye (reprise)

artworks-000062662599-o32888-original
There is a new EP on the horizon from Falcons. A full four tracks and remix from Ta-Ku. HW&W Recordings was good enough to post up track one from the EP in it’s entirety. It’s a tad more funk than the usual Falcons with a nice funk strum, a welcome and well done meander from Hip Hop/ Trap that we have all come to know and love from the LA based producer.

Expect the release on the 20th and all our European friends should note the scheduled dates in support of the release:

Wed. 11/20 – Stuttgart, Germany – Schraglage
Fri. 11/22 – Vienna , Austria – Club Auslage
Sat. 11/23 – Brussels, Belgium – Bazaar, Brussels w/ Stwo
Wed. 11/27 – Paris, France – Le Social Club
Thu. 11/28 – Manchester, UK – Mint Lounge
Fri. 11/29 – Berlin, Germany – Gretchen w/ Stwo

New music from Sydney Australia’s Carl Elliot. A very talented producer under the name of Empia. His sound is so clean overall, it contains such a profound element of silence and can surely induce a sense of euphoria to any listener. Keep an eye out for this name in the year to come.

Ludacris – How Low (B∩MSTEAD Remix)

Winner of Best Rap Song and Best Rap Alb
How Low can you go? More like, how much better could you have reworked this track? Following the release of Ludas original there was certainly a storm of less that exciting remixes in pursuit. Too bad B∩MSTEAD wasn’t their to save those days. Let the remix speak for itself.

Jim Sharp – Midnight Marauders Revisited

artworks-000062291661-y6x9pg-original
As the intro will inform you, twenty years ago A Tribe Called Quest released their third album ‘Midnight Marauders‘ . The Vancouver Canuck now living and loving across the pond in London pays respect to his favourite Hop Hop/Rap group with nine full reworks. Jim Sharp’s ability to revisit the old and turn in into something fresh and new while retaining the musics originality is uncanny. Ability far too few are able to pull off.

The full release is made available in a nice n’ tight zip package which you can download HERE.
