When 5AM – HYSE EP

After going through such an awesome EP like ‘HYSE’ I can’t help but think that the English will always dominate House. The whole release is well worth an in depth listen. There’s plenty of layering, groovy basslines, atmospheres & corners to get lost in. Six of the seven tracks have video accompanyment which you can see HERE.
And yes, it’s all free.

Cohoba – I Just

Cohoba of the Dominican Republic got himself graduated from the Red Bull Music Academy in 2010, plus the feature of ‘I Just’ on the giants official Soundcloud channel. RBMA has apparently been keeping an eye on this talent and presumably ‘I Just’ will appear on his next EP. Dominican label Stereotipico will host the release and debuted the video for ‘Know 1’ (to appear on the same release) this past February.

Ultraista – Smalltalk (Heizen Remix)

Harder Electronic has been making it’s way back into my life all at once somehow. Newcastle Australia’s Heizen has been on the crest of the recurrence, around the time his Hunter EP made it’s way over is when it started. Then again, productions tend to take on a darker tone during winter time it seems. This remix does have brighter female vocals opening and mid, but body is solid stuff. The full extended version is free for a like.

Oceaán – Turned Away

Manchester Britain’s residing Oceaán is lined up for his self titled EP to be released on Chess Club Records, March 31st. ‘Turned Away’ is the second revealing ahead of the full release which is available for pre order now via Rough Trade. Oceaán is being revered as “one of the UKs most exciting new artists and producers” , because of his Low-Fi x Future works that include both pop and R&B elements.

Denzel Curry – THREATZ (Promnite Edition)

Finally found the appropriate lazy Sunday chill downer. Never heard of Promnite before today, but many others have. It’s getting harder and harder to find unheard gems on the cloud. He, she, or they list no belonged to location, nor much else info. Though the list of high profile producers, presumably he, keeps company with might lead to some clues for the especially information hungry.

100s – IVRY

Swavey, hair manicured 100s signed on with the exact right label. Fools Gold Records has been on the forefront of new Rap since it’s beginning. A-Traks own personal beginning of course shaping the labels Hip Hop involvement, and it’s all been choice. Cool Kids, Danny Brown, Just Blaze, Kid Kudi, Kid Sister and Lil B are all currently on the roster, and influences of the genre on this and the last generation. ‘IVRY’ is said to bring West Coast Rap back to the future.. It does just this. One through eight take Club Rap into a whole new element, all too freshly. ‘Fucking Around’ & ‘A Different Kind of Love’ feat. Cherub are huge standouts. Plus it’s all free.

T.I. & Lil Wayne + Clams Casino = Ball

Aha, mad clever. Neither Weezy nor, Mac Miller reside in my top 20 rappers. This fact in tact, ‘Cold Feet‘ is still my favourite Mac Miller track do date. As high quality as his videos are they never managed to sell the music as good. The productions he’s managed to get on top of are good enough to confuse people into thinking it’s good rap somehow.. Not that a good remix hasn’t come as a result of the guy, or that I’ve even never enjoyed a couple of his musics. But for the most part, it’s poop in a hand. Take this dgmashup for example, an acapella, from another song, had better placement on the beat..

Pretty Lights – Lost and Found

Now if you’re anything like me, Pretty Lights’s most recent album A Color Map of the Sun struck you as an instant classic. Thirteen soulful tracks of vinyl-pressed gold that I played on repeat, at best during times when I had the chance to listen to it from beginning to the end (I recommend jamming to it on the Sea to Sky Highway if you’re headed that way anytime soon). Pretty Lights has been making good music for a long time, but everything since A Color Map has just solidifed his synth-ridden style as unique and completely his own. I was lucky enough to catch him live at Squamish Valley last year on my birthday and he definitely did not disappoint!

Fans, the Odesza remix of this tune is definitely also worth listening to .

Husky – Step Back (Diverse Remix)

Maybe it’s just and avid soundcloud user thing but I’m pumped to see Husky get remixed and get an upload a ways away from Nu Bytes, his label. Sutton Coldfield, Britain’s Diverse aka 19 year old John Edgley on the remix for Filthy Fortune Records.
