Suo. – Flowers & Weeds

A new Vancouver producer to introduce you all to right here. An experimental producer making music for the mind right in our sought after city. ‘Flowers & Weeds’ being the latest of four tracks to appear from the artist will be a strong first impression to those who are listening for the first time. Steady, solid drums, with plenty of depth from start to finish.

Mapei – Don’t Wait (Happy Accidents Vocal Remix)

Three part musical ensemble Happy Accidents struck cords with the team of Mapei, gained her support along with Columbia & Downtown Records, and is now giving you a fresh dose of New Disco. Brit Pop and Disco synths truly are a happy accident. Full pun intended. ‘Don’t Wait’ is the feel good track of the week in these parts.

Beyoncé – Deja Vu Ft. Jay-Z (Borneland Remix)

Life has been going swimmingly for the Copenhagen based brother duo. Deja Vu has been playing a big role in their lives, and rolling off their Destiny Childs ‘Bug A Boo’ a Jayonce (Bae-Z) remix was just the next step in the climb. The overwhelming attention the power couple attracts is too much at times. But it’s remixes like this that solidify their hold on the industry to this thumb haver. Shouts Borneland.

Rae Morris – Cold feat. Fryars (Paul Woolford Remix)

Broadening the reach of Blackpool Britain’s Rae Morris new single is House legend Paul Woolford. Think of the perks while holding title of a House legend in Europe. Near equal to being anointed while in these shoes. The legend gears the track into a Deep House classic with plenty of 90’s House influence. Note this is Paul Woolford’s second ever remix. Look for the release on July 14th by way of Atlantic Records UK, or purchase the original HERE.

Lewis M – I’m On You

The Garage, House & Bass movement is more serious than what us North Americans might expect. Once you get digging deeper into the clouds Euro stars it becomes quite clear. It’s all of the sounds that have been dominated sound waves for two to three years now, it’s what #Vancouvers own sound has been reaching toward, at least similarly. It’s delish, now, ‘I’m On You’ by Portugal’s / Phoenix Arizona’s Lewis M.

Canadian Footwork Vol. 1

a3601970873_10 A new Canadian series makes it’s debut with artists spanning this vast country. At times it does feel like Footwork is a forgotten form. Good to see Canadians keeping yet another genre moving and growing. Of course the Philthkids have a place on the compilation. They may be the West Coasts latest and greatest contribution to Footwork. The release as a whole is made available for a modest seven dollars.

Moscillate – A Sense Of Calm

It must be cool down time for somebody out there now. It is certainly here. And as it so happens Nizhny Tagil, Russia’s Moscillate has just the right stuff for such an occasion. Presumably a he, holds expertise in Future and Hip Hop Instrumentals. Definitely get familiar with this one. I’ve included a couple extras as ‘A Sense Of Calm’ will tide you away from bed.
