Some opposites

Okay kiddos, I am feeling like posting up some totally juxtaposing shit right now. First we got Kav Verhouzer & Palm Trees ” In My Arms ” which is a happier, pretty seasoned production. Lots going on but not too much going on. Peep it.Screen Shot 2016-06-22 at 12.04.03 PM

And below is a polar opposite. Just a grimey driving bass, some fucking laser sounds cos sometimes I like to keep it weird.

THEY – Say When

Say When x Brando

Check out some hardbody shit by THEY. Just popped up on my radar recently. I dig it. Track is called Say When. I don’t need to talk a bunch of shit here. Just listen and get all trill or whatever kids do these days.

Mark Clennon – Blood

FUCKIN GO CANADA EH!? Good on you mr Mark Clennon  for knowing how to sing them songs you sing. The album art is a bit Dexterish but I think he might be going for that. Either way, the song should be heard so here it is you cute lil munchkins you.

Ofelia K – I Love My Lawyer

Ofelia K - I Love My Lawyer

Oh Ofelia K you beautiful pop Goddess, please keep this going. Every song by this unicorn is so carefully executed. Just enough, not too much. So far she has a perfect batting average on these tunes. Today, Ofelia serenades her lawyer, which in my humblebrag opinion, is a brilliant move. More RAPPERS should be doing that!! If I were a dodgy-ass rapper, I would be writing full on odes to my lawyers. Hell, I would even throw in “The judge be a nice guy” as a bonus track on my soon to be talked about through a jail phone, album. Anyways, I am going off on a tangent. But really though, this here is one of the most original topics to hit my crummy eardrums in a long long time, so I will be starting off my day relatively content with the state of the music industry today. Here are some words from Ofelia about the song.

“I Love My Lawyer is about an unlikely, deep connection with another person. The song is a sheep in wolves clothing…fun and brave, but sad and desperate underneath. It’s quite crazy, and risky, which excites me.”

– Yes I wholeheartedly agree. It’s quite risky and I love you for it.

Getting some fire in the inbox today!!! I’ve played this a bunch already.

you know what’s dope about being an old fat fuck? you don’t give a shit anymore about being cool. Therefore you can enjoy good pop with reckless abandon. This a good producer and artist pairing.

**EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW!! ** Fatherdude – The Balance EP

Screen Shot 2016-06-20 at 2.11.26 PMFatherdude! So you released an EP! Let’s talk about it! from what U currently gather, this is your first solo effort and you are well on your way to owning many leather-bound book,s since you are so hot right now.
Here is a list of really important questions that everyone needs to know about this project! As you know, I am a thorough person, so these are going to be really really pointed to what’s going on in your project. Please do your best to answer them in length and detail.
Before we start, I would like to take the moment to hit people with the link to the album and your tune with Lido and Brasstracks.

1. You are on an island with one person. You are stranded for the rest of your life, but the guy won’t shut the fuck up. What do you do?
  • While he’s talking, I’ll close my eyes and go to a magical island in my mind where he is silent.
2. I know you are a big Harley Davidson fan. That being said, what if the only way you can ride a bike down the street is if you had to wear that little black helmet with that tiny spike up on top of it? Do you go out looking like a total S&M lovin’ guy or do you stick to the subway?
  • This is why we have unicycles.
3. If you could punch anyone in the face right now who would it be and why?
  • Trump.  He knows why.
4. Hold the elevator door open for someone running for it, or push the close button hurriedly?
  • After learning recently that Australia does not have “close doors” buttons on elevators, I say we must appreciate this resource and use it liberally.  #USA
5. If you could fuck an alien, would you do it?
  • The Conehead’s daughter was hot.
6. State of emergency just got called publicly in NY. What do you do? Who do you call? What is your plan of escape and how will you survive until you reach whatever type of safety you’ve arranged for yourself?
  • Ugh…I should know this… I finally saw Cloverfield.
7. If Trump wins would you consider a trebuchet over the border to Canada?
  • I would hope that said trebuchet would be used for said candidate.
8. A cobra bites you in the dick while you’re performing in some tropical cobra riddled paradise. What do you do?!
  • Bite back
9. What is the name of Mr.Burns teddy bear?
  • Bobo
10. And lastly, if you had any inspirational words for the youngin’ out there aspiring to do this music thing, what would you tell them?
  • Worry about the music more than the media.
Okay that is all for this interview. Thank you so much for sharing all of the wisdoms and for those wanting to listen to the EP, scroll back to the top and listen to it. The project was produced by some heavy hitters such as Infuze, !llmind, Konrad OldMoney and Brasstracks. Couple that with Fatherdude’s voice and it’s kind of a no brainer.

Jade Cicada / Wonky Llama – Noms EP

Wuuuaaaaaahuuuuhhhhaaaabbbaaaddaaa this dub track by Massachusetts producer Jade Cicada wants to stretch my brain through space and time… probably the best Rick & Morty inspired track I’ve heard to date (and I’ve heard a lot). Generalizing his own style as a combination of garage, 8 bit, ambient, glitch, neuro, drum and bass, and hip hop, Jade Cicada’s music seems to emulate a controlled explosion, bursting with layers of intricate details. If wubb got your attention, his collabs are not to be missed! The track below is even free for download!

On repeat as of late is his EP Noms (co-produced with Houston’s schmoop under the name Wonky Llama). Seriously. Listen.

Yum.
