If recent Netflix documentary additions have turned you full dietary activist you should refrain from watching. Where I was turned momentary activist others very easily could have been pushed all the way. Them documentarians know whats up. And as I type the two for one Big Mac coupon is staring me straight in the eyes. It’s like each burger is an eye ball and we are dead lock for “no blink eat me” competish. So you’re warned. Cause there is so much meat smearing in the three minute self titled track featuring the vocal works of Charlie Heart. And again as I type the thought of McDicks delivers in Manhatten cross my mind. Animal Feelings himself is from Brooklyn but maybe some over the phone persuasion could venture a delivery to his borough… (As you can see, my thinking is very non linear when even the suggestion of food is in the room.) House, soft pink frame, slow motion, and real funky synth work make these animal feelings muuuuch easier to digest than say, Cowspiracy. Over in Miami renound nightclub Grand Central has closed it’s doors. On the 26th the club saw it’s last event. Although the owners say there are plans to keep the brand alive through future ventures in the “hospitality industry and creative world” , the city has lost a landmark for touring musicians as well as the standing music scene itself. DJ Homewrecker has had the opportinity to play at the iconic venue since his move to Miami 5 months ago on a number of occasions. This is his homage.
RNDNB is a phenomena known by too few from the looks of things. Vancouverite’s are spoiled by having one of their own spearheading it so well. Vancouver’s ability to start, grow and launch artists has been steadily getting better. The battle of the “no fun city” has lead to countless events year round. Thus providing for places to network, perform and so on. This can all be told by the number of artists reaching success aka international recognition, whereas a handful of years ago it seemed as though those who made it, had to do it somewhere else. Which isn’t exactly grounds for a nurturing, or fun reputation.
But that was then and this is now, and now, Young Bombs have that global reach. Festival grade remix after another after another for like, a full year? It’s been not stop. With remixes of Charlie XCX, B.O.B., Cazette, Route 94, Dada Life… you get the idea. Today’s premiere, of a Californian band Radical Something is another notch, in a heavily punched, and equally as long belt. The remix is of a series of singles and remixes after a year of touring for Radical Something. They’re entrusting of ‘Paradise In You’ into the hands and keys Young Bombs returned with a euphoric House jam that is no doubt going to end up on all the Youtube channels with beach babes for vissies :p And it all begins with one drop.

Vancouver Island gyal Whipped Cream is on the up and up. She’s been booking dates steady since her debut at Shambhala 2015 this summer. Her joining the CAPS LOCK CREW hasn’t hindered anything either, nor the steady list of collab productions since her membership there. Her output is non stop, plain and simple, keeping her trajectory in a steep upward direction. To add to it all we’ve paired up with her for a bi-monthly, semi reg playlist curation. In Vol 1 you get plenty of Trap, Beat & Bedroom, and Bassy House n’ Dance. And a couple of mixes for good measure.

Aussie duo Strange Talk have just announced a headlining US tour, which does include two East Coast Canadian stops. We were able to catch a moment with them amidst tour and new single prep, and get a quick list of what’s been getting the feels churning for them.
