Muzzy Bear – Vintage Sutra EP

All Good Records are one of the most vibrant up-and coming collective of artists in the country – their roster includes front-man Griz, among other stellar performers such as Manic Focus and the Geek x VRV to say the least.

Most recently having dropped an EP from newcomer Muzzy Bear – the EP touches base on a raw hiphop aesthetic, while still including that bluesy electro feel that Gramatik and other pioneers have perfected over the past years. I have high hopes for their future.

All Good Records isn’t just a label, it’s a family – you can tell.

Dig this:

ØRKA – Tell Me

Our latest musical discovery turns to a South Florida producer who goes by the name of ØRKA. His sounds resembles that of indie-electronic superstar Chet Faker in the low-key, chilled out vibes he emits with every production he has his hand out. His latest single, “tell me,” sets sail on a midnight ocean that puts us straight to ease with its vaporous piano keys, passionate percussion patterns, and sentimental sax line that makes this track stand out in the pack. Keep a close eye on ØRKA because this kid has a talent worth watching and listening to.

Woolf and the Wondershow – Cloaked

Woolf and the Wondershow make their Soundcloud debut with an extravagant funky synth-pop masterpiece. Sultry vocals and steamy synth lines bounce along in this upbeat hook-laden tune.

Can’t wait to hear more from the LA based homies – I’m sure plenty of awesome remixes are in store for these cats!

1/M/T – Mirror Talk

Retro vibes galore. Really bold step by Mirror Talk – I have noticed an interesting step in the development of electronic/indie artists who are reaching to the 70’s and 80’s for inspiration, including Darkside, which was one of my favourite experimental projects of 2014.

Definitely a good call for anyone looking for an upbeat jam that bridges the gap between electronic and indie music for the coming spring. Check it out!

Tears For Fears – Shout (PINEO Remix)

East coast homie Pineo has outdone himself again – another sweltering hot remix of a familiar sound. This new tune’s got enough crunch to turn the heads of even WolfGang Gartner and the like. I highly recommend you check it out.

Check out his past works, too, if you haven’t. Some straight fire – typically produced in conjunction with the vibe-master Loeb (see below).

SAINT WKND – Good Vibes

Summer’s here, and the living is easy. Today I thought I’d touch base on some sounds that I occasionally enjoy if the circumstance is right – SAINT WKND, the German prodigy child has brought together another beauty of an original created with the sole purpose of one thing – “GOOD VIBES”.

The song was brought to my attention by my close friend, and I must say that I’ve had it on repeat ever since.

La+ch – California

I’ve been really into funky anthems, especially of the nostalgic nu-disco vibe type, the homie LA+CH has come forward with another awesome banger of such style:

If you like this song, I also reccomend getting into this jam by Cherokee ft. Gibbz called Teenage Fantasy- can’t get enough of these tunes.

Over and out, #FunkFam

Simon & Garfunkel – The Sound Of Silence (The Golden Pony Remix)

I was informed that my east coast homies the Golden Pony have recently put their immensely popular remix series up for free download. They’ve got everyone from Flume & Chet Faker to ILOVEMAKONNEN and now I’m happy to bring these rad tunes to your attention once again!

Their remix of Simon & Garfunkel is clearly one of those timeless tunes that you just can’t fuck with, but the subtlety of their edit is such that the original nature of the song is left untouched. This tune really brings me back to when I was a kid, so I guess that the remix blends a bit smoother for me.

Check their remix of Dr. Dre’s classic Forgot About Dre and as always, grab the free download and slap these tunes on your iPod!

Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk (The Noisy Freaks ft. Andrew Hunt Remix)

The Noisy Freaks have been on my go-to list for a minute now. To call them funk gods would be an understatement. Already have garnered tons of support from Gramatik and other known artists in the scene, this remix is a turning point in their career, for sure.

Catchy as old hell, I highly recommend cruising through their vast selection of releases as displayed via their Soundcloud. A lot are up for free download, including this brand new beauty of a gem!
