Sound Strider – Intrepid Travels EP

Who doesn’t want to rave it up at a 30 000 person Freetekno party at a refurbished castle in the Loire Valley? If ‘reconnecting with your transcendental roots’ sounds like one hell of a fun time to you, then perhaps one of Sound Strider’s French techno festivals is in order. Until then, you’ll have to settle for this glitchy, IDM-influenced EP which was inspired by the psychedelic culture depicted in Tom Wolfe’s The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test. Stream it here on Soundcloud, and you can download for free or by donation as well.

Bozu – Just Another Dalek

This being a debut EP, I’ve decided to leave you with the official write up as it sums up the release quite well:

‘Never Odd Or Even’ is the Concrete Plastic label debut for North London-based producer Bozu.
This is an EP of two halves, with the first three tracks a mix of beat led brashness, but
the second three tracks more into atmospheric electronic territory.

Streams and purchase link for the EP, HERE.

Red Milk – Yeah!

Blue Milk being the natural enemy Red would no doubt be offended by the amount of Future Bass within these four minutes. Every once and a few months this Lithuanian artist procures a heater like what we have here. #SlapBass We are nill on the free so just listen on repeatedly.

Blunda – Messages EP

A lush, contemplative EP from multitalented LA producer Andy Blunda. Like a moodier version of Beach House or Neon Indian with a bit of 80’s New Wave thrown in, this is perfect for fans of the emerging (and perhaps over-analyzed) ‘chillwave’ genre. There’s ups and downs to how well the vocals are working, but overall, Messages is perfect, groovy chill-out music. Get ready to tweak those synthesizer knobs and break out the black eyeliner, Depeche Mode-style.

Known to some as Erica Dee, and possibly known to more as the voice of The Village at the Shambhala Music Festival has free ‘Golden’ up for grabs. Producers looking to make works with a true authentic sound to BC’s interior should grab these vocals up. Four Acappella’s from her 2011 release.

Kloud – One 4 Mike (Jason Neyra Remix)

Toronto is experiencing heavy snow from all accounts. Enough for it to be country wide news. But that’s Canada for you, cold ass winters. Even if extreme conditions skip a year or two. But Jason Neyra brought out a bit of warmth despite mother nature’s best efforts. Still Kloudy though, full pun intended.
