Looking to throw down this weekend? The Waldorf is hosting some of Vancouver’s best local electronic talent in a stacked lineup on Friday night! Back by popular demand, Wetcoast is bringing you the second installment of their PURPLE BASS Series, featuring psychedelic bass music, purple decor and giveaways from Wetcoast Threads – Sustainable Clothing. Kermode headlines with his new album, “New World”, a glitchy masterpiece guaranteed to make you wanna move. I can also vouch for a seriously awesome crowd at this event!

Sound Strider – Intrepid Travels EP

Who doesn’t want to rave it up at a 30 000 person Freetekno party at a refurbished castle in the Loire Valley? If ‘reconnecting with your transcendental roots’ sounds like one hell of a fun time to you, then perhaps one of Sound Strider’s French techno festivals is in order. Until then, you’ll have to settle for this glitchy, IDM-influenced EP which was inspired by the psychedelic culture depicted in Tom Wolfe’s The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test. Stream it here on Soundcloud, and you can download for free or by donation as well.
