Montreal’s CRi has let loose his new James Blake remix. And it’s a sensual one. A feeler of a track with it’s fingers in House, Indie, and maybe most lovably, Acid. All in this is a Canadian track you should have your mitts on. And it’s been up for free download just to fill them mitts with.

Tapecut – BEEZ

This song is what it sounds like after I do ten rails and start cracking into the tequila. Last time I partied, I ended up falling off of another human being at the club and getting thrown in a paddywagon for climbing a police cruiser with my shirt off. It was a great night. I ended up getting released an hour after cos the guy next to me kept peeing himself and the cops were just like, get the fuck outta here, all of you fucks. I was stranded in another part of town, and going back to my graffiti days, I drunkenly hopped onto a passing train as it was the only mode of transit. When I got to the Main Street yard in Vancouver, I jumped off, twisted my ankle and hobbled home. Fuck I love going out.

Montis & Afreaux – Wrong (feat. Eloy Smit)

This is the kind of deep house that I can appreciate. Pop sensibility. I just can’t stress that enough to you music guys and gals out there. If you are putting out new music, make that shit make sense. Have some shit I can remember yo. Don’t just shit out some weird mishmash of sounds that doesn’t really go anywhere and then sit in your room and wonder why your music don’t go nowhere.

After I pressed play I thought to myself, hey, this is perfectly in line with this mutherfuckers name. I then proceeded to throw my coffee across the room as my face melted off.

Paper Lions – My Number

The east coast is alive with vibrant musicians and producers lately. Paper Lions are a band from PEI that are no exception to this surge of beautiful sounds – drawing influence from such pop heavy-hitters as Tokyo Police Club, etc. the 4-piece indie rock / indietronica group create sounds that are perfect summertime soundtracks.

Intricately layered instrumentation and well-thought lyricism place this group directly at the top of the food-chain as they eat up the Canadian club circuit on their upcoming tour in support of this single and their forthcoming full-length album, Full Colour, set to be released in 2016.

The future bodes well for this young crew, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in the coming months.

Jack U – Mind (Slander Remix)

The notorious future bass/trap duo Slander are back with another instalment of riveting festival anthem music. This time, the duo have set to re-working a tune in which Sonny actually sings. Definitely want to check this out if you’re interested to hear that.

The guitar-work in the song actually brings it up yet even ANOTHER level – to the point that it kind of transcends the electronic world of genres and becomes a truly unique blend of sounds. The duo speak of how they “wanted to create a whole new vibe”, and I think there’s no denying that they pulled it off!

Check it out, and enjoy.
