Strange Talk – Young Hearts (The Chainsmokers Remix)

There’s no question that The Chainsmokers have taste of the top shelf. This is clear in the remix repertoire they have built over time. Building as they have in what appears to have been a relatively short period of time points to a solid work ethic. A standard setting work ethic. Free mix, free remix, enjoy.

Slow Graffiti – VI EP

Said this earlier, in about January, but this year has been absoultely buck for LA’s Slow Graffiti. What brings me back round to this point once again is his latest EP, ‘VI’ . A release which has garnered the attention of Mad Decent’s big head, Diplo. In his Diplo & Friends AAA mix which was comprised entirely of unsigned artists music, two Slow Graffiti tracks made the cut, ‘You’ from the recent Club Stream released ‘VI’ EP , and ‘Hey’ from last years ‘Los Angeles’ EP. Both works are available for purchase on Beatport, but ‘VI’ has only recetly been made available for full stream on Soundcloud.

Look for his new Legacy Podcast coming this Friday featuring Ekali.

Aero Chord – New Breed Pt. I EP

High Intensity Records dropped something a tad heavy last week. This is a “in case you missed it” . In an attempt to push the enevelope the Knife Party influenced artist may just have sent the postal service into it’s final days, single handedly. The hard hitting infusion of Trap, Electro & Dubstep attracted the attention of Your EDM all to fittingly, as Aero Chords influences are in fact “EDM Festival girls with hipster glasses and tattoos” , something Your EDM knows all to well about. It should go without saying that Knife Party fans will be pleased upon a listen.

Boats x Kamm – Coastal Kammunication

Oakland on point with it’s bass productions yet again. This time from Boats, plus his Hawaii Kai & SF based “coastal homie” , Kamm. Together the sounds of Future shine through. They are also similar enough in style and genre to sound entirely natural in collaboration. Give em a check.

Bastille – Flaws (The Chainsmokers Remix)

Even after pulling a milli views on the official #Selfie music video The Chainsmokers are still churning chunes out for free. Better recognize. And these ain’t no cookie cutter remixes neither, it’s an official Bastille re. They also loaded up the description on the track with some of my favourite fun facts to date:

UN FACT(s):
1) Avicii at one point was ranked #3 in the world at World of War Craft
2) The most expensive house in the world is in Mumbai and is 27 stories high and costs over a billion dollars
3) There is such thing as Maple Syrup Whiskey, and its delicious
4) If you google ‘Zerg Rush’ google will eat your search results…

1127 – Status Quo EP

Egyptian Bass music. Yes, these words are true. It may be hard for us North Americans to shirk the imagery of the coup d’état that took place and filled our television screens over the past couple of years, but rumor has it that the music scene is developing. Let 1127 be your intro it and download the full ‘Status Quo’ EP for free via Bandcamp.

Roger Seventy Two – This Is Not Aretha

Talk about from the archives.. What was Electronica even about in that day and age? Certainly lends an idea of how long Roger Seventy Two has been solid, not to mention how long Amsterdam has been about it’s New Disco /&+ House.

Felix Cartal – Weekend Workout: Episode 104

Every now and again Vancouver EDM star Felix Cartal’s bearded head appears in my feed. Always with something fresh, and big. It’s been a long time since his SOX promo shot, Montreal Dreams, Ashlee Simpson Remix and his website being primarily production discussions. But, all for the better. Today his appearance in the feed was on the note of his including ‘After Midnight‘ in his latest Weekend Workout Episode. It’s damn grand to have this particular production garner this kind of attention. Give the mix a listen through and through, then give FC a follow if you haven’t already.

Smalltown DJs – See Thru feat. Lisa Lobsinger (Astronomar & Wuki Remix)

Hard club once again from the Main Course camp. Truthfully though, who would in the right mind pass on remixing Broken Social Scene vocals? Pure class, all Techno.
