Well kids, I have been on a fucking absolute bender lately. Basically, I decided to just start doing the most. My NASA application got denied however. I wanted to be the first man to take a prostitute to space! They quickly replied with “As exciting as this proposition might be for some, we are sorry Mr.Guap, the space program only launches tax paying citizens into space” I guess I will continue to try and break the Guiness world record for the most panic attacks in a 7day period. So I decided to post another Chainsmokers song because I am a fan. Guap hardly fans out,as you all know. Especially since I am a fucking egomaniac, however, sometimes it’s healthy to be like, “WOW” over someone or something other than your own penis. This SICK BOY song ( oddly enough I have this same slogan tattooed on my lower back ), feels to me like a very direct commentary on the mental health of America at the moment. Hats off to them boys. Give this a spin and stop being stoooopiiddd.

Today is a big day for ‘Closer’ Remixes. Shaun Frank is dropping his own, and here we have LA based Deafkulture delivering his own Future Bass ways about the international hit. There have been many artists flocking to the remix lately, but we feel we’ve got something special here from Deafkulture. The flavour he brings to the track brings it away from the mainstream-ness of the original with Trap percussion without tearing it from what has made the track so resonant with so many people. It’s true, Electronic music has reached the realm of tabloid journalism. Tis a dark time, but, as with everything there has been and will be two sides will always be present. The positive, and the negative. Good music will always speak for itself and stand out amongst the muck and pod scum. Anna of the North was one such outstanding light for the now immensely popular Chainsmokers. What they interpreted their remix into was a future, and dare I say more “underground” version, than other major hits of theirs, #KAYNE, #Selfie..

*Amidst the success of millions of plays and appearances The Chainsmokers have remained loyal to their love of Indie vocalists, which, is an important point to note on their career to date. Cudos yo.

And these ain’t no cookie cutter remixes neither, it’s an official Bastille re. They also loaded up the description on the track with some of my favourite fun facts to date:

1) Avicii at one point was ranked #3 in the world at World of War Craft
2) The most expensive house in the world is in Mumbai and is 27 stories high and costs over a billion dollars
3) There is such thing as Maple Syrup Whiskey, and its delicious

The Chainsmokers are tearing 2k14 a new one in a big way. It’s like that side butthole American Apparel ad, except with Dim Mak and better looking. This is their FIRST Original production believe it or not. Grab up a copy HERE. The guys were good enough to include a few facts about the making of the video:

FUN FACT(s):
1) Every time we asked someone special for a #SELFIE they said yes, but then said they would send us one later like it was some chore, when all they had to do was turn their phone around on the device they were texting us from….
2) About 15% of the submissions we got from ppl involved Nudity
3) About 5% involved animals
4) #Selfie was named word of the year in the USA and The Netherlands…
5) Drew’s loves describing the taste of water in different cities.
6) Shower Pressure is very important to Alex
