Too many DJ’s have been taking too many stabs at Re Re “hot new single” , alongside their producer counterparts, or alter ego’s. BBHMM was never really a great song to begin with. The phrase is one we like to say more than anything. Mainstream swept us up in Ri Ri’s remix-ability and a catch phrase. The Busted v. might be the most passable in a long line of passable’s. But let’s all pass on this one sooner rather than later.

What’s funny about this is that Daft Punk has been on me mind for the past couple of days, and low and behold a track comes out that is just so reminiscent of the robo legends. Autograph in no way leave’s their own tropical behind, it’s just a prefect blend in the morning. Happy to see main stream Alesso with some chill down drizzled all in the nooks and cranny’s of his productions.

This kids got some incredible RnB prowess behind the production steering wheel that, as a producer myself, I can’t quite come to grasp. Given that, I have been jamming his shit non-stop for at least 2-3 months now.

The numbers speak for themselves: the tunes been out for 2 hours – 4000 people have listened to the song, 1000 of them have given forth their <3 in recognition of its unique beauty. That’s one in every four people – fucking incredible if you ask me. All eyes on the kid – really excited to hear what he comes up with next.

Shoutout the whole Soulection crew for putting out amazing and unique music that blends so well with the club scene and sheds great light on all involved.

France’s Phazz has been killing it since day one – if you’re into future RnB / heavy hiphop beats, this guy should be on your radar. Everydayz & Phazz’s combined effort on this full-length LP is phenomenal. I’ve listened to the entire release from start to finish and I must say that I’m very impressed with the quality of production but also simply the tasteful use of sampling throughout.

Had to bring this one to the table. Purchase on iTunes and Spotify!

Roche Musique is one of those french funk labels that can do no wrong – initially bringing FKJ to the fore-front of my personal listening radar – I’ve recently learned that they have caught wind of Canadian jazz/funk prodigy producers Pomo in conjunction with the young and venerable Tennyson and have released an official remix featuring them both. I can’t believe it.
