Had Shaprece referred by another talented female vocalist today. These two songs are her latest in almost three years! She either spent her time refining her form or she just never lost it to begin with. The string arrangements by Phillip Peterson and Daniel Butman are excellent. Opening the month long East Van Digital take-over of our weekly mix series is Vancouver’s own Hxdb. After a few copywrite issues with soundcloud we decided Hxdb would be a strong lead in this series within the series. Hxdb, pronounced Hexadecibel holds a strong reputation as one of the city’s most known musically forward thinkers. The West Coast Bass is strong with this one and his hard work over the years in many facets of the music world has given him a groomed knowledge of the scene. A knowledge best heard within this mix.

Said this earlier, in about January, but this year has been absoultely buck for LA’s Slow Graffiti. What brings me back round to this point once again is his latest EP, ‘VI’ . A release which has garnered the attention of Mad Decent’s big head, Diplo. In his Diplo & Friends AAA mix which was comprised entirely of unsigned artists music, two Slow Graffiti tracks made the cut, ‘You’ from the recent Club Stream released ‘VI’ EP , and ‘Hey’ from last years ‘Los Angeles’ EP. Both works are available for purchase on Beatport, but ‘VI’ has only recetly been made available for full stream on Soundcloud.
Look for his new Legacy Podcast coming this Friday featuring Ekali.
