Sia – Big Girls Cry (E.A.S.Y. Remix)

Damn, I just can’t resist a juicy banger. Since this landed in my inbox, I’ve listened to it probably 4-5 times, which says a lot considering I go through music like a maniac. It reminds me a bit of Keys N Krates.

Not really sure what’s going on in this cover of hers, but enjoy!

Everydayz & Phazz – Almeria LP

France’s Phazz has been killing it since day one – if you’re into future RnB / heavy hiphop beats, this guy should be on your radar. Everydayz & Phazz’s combined effort on this full-length LP is phenomenal. I’ve listened to the entire release from start to finish and I must say that I’m very impressed with the quality of production but also simply the tasteful use of sampling throughout.

Had to bring this one to the table. Purchase on iTunes and Spotify!

ENJOY!

Bringin’ the FUNK on hump-day

Here are a few tunes I’ve been jamming to hold you over until the weekend comes; hope you enjoy the tunes – and have a great week!
New from your boys via Otodayo Records:

Kodak to Graph – IAMANTHEM (Big Wild Remix)

New Dawn (ft. Paul Basic & Marcelo Moxy)

Third Eye Blind – Semi-Charmed Life (PINEO & LOEB Remix)

Darius – Helios (Pomo Remix) Ft. Tennyson

Roche Musique is one of those french funk labels that can do no wrong – initially bringing FKJ to the fore-front of my personal listening radar – I’ve recently learned that they have caught wind of Canadian jazz/funk prodigy producers Pomo in conjunction with the young and venerable Tennyson and have released an official remix featuring them both. I can’t believe it.

You’ve gotta check it out:

From the label:

“After the success of « Romance » Darius comes back with the single « Helios » featuring Wayne Snow to be released on Roche Musique. It’s with no doubt that Darius has shown his special touch, and « Helios » is another proof of the producer’s talent and singularity. The single is a deep and lovely ballad that fits perfectly to the voice of Wayne Snow. « Helios » is a catchy track that promises strong feedbacks.”

Seclus Jockey wants you to lean out in a cloud of purple today. For the day of all days to be living in a haze. Toronto’s own Elevate & USA neighbour Johnathan Thomas hit hard into Destiny’s child, in a manner fitting of a pure Street Bass rethink title. Dirty dirty bass, too fitted for any kind of nasty on the floor you can think of. Bruk out. Get down to blaze a pound and cop the free joint in exchange for a follow.

Look to Seclus Jockey for their hawt new product released today as well. From floor curator leading lady ill-esha.

MonDAZE

Time to rise and grind, Monday has come again and I’m happy to bring to you a few noteworthy tracks that have graced my feed as of lately – including a couple remixes and a couple resonant originals – I’ll try to keep things funky for y’all.

Enjoy the tracks!
The Chainsmokers Feat. Great Good Fine Ok – Let You Go (SiPhi X CSC Remix)

SIVIK – U Got

Odesza – White Lies (Braunstein Freres Remix)

Minnesota and G JONES – Thunderdome (Manic Focus Remix)

Muzzy Bear – Vintage Sutra EP

All Good Records are one of the most vibrant up-and coming collective of artists in the country – their roster includes front-man Griz, among other stellar performers such as Manic Focus and the Geek x VRV to say the least.

Most recently having dropped an EP from newcomer Muzzy Bear – the EP touches base on a raw hiphop aesthetic, while still including that bluesy electro feel that Gramatik and other pioneers have perfected over the past years. I have high hopes for their future.

All Good Records isn’t just a label, it’s a family – you can tell.

Dig this:

ØRKA – Tell Me

Our latest musical discovery turns to a South Florida producer who goes by the name of ØRKA. His sounds resembles that of indie-electronic superstar Chet Faker in the low-key, chilled out vibes he emits with every production he has his hand out. His latest single, “tell me,” sets sail on a midnight ocean that puts us straight to ease with its vaporous piano keys, passionate percussion patterns, and sentimental sax line that makes this track stand out in the pack. Keep a close eye on ØRKA because this kid has a talent worth watching and listening to.

Premiere: Volknor – Eternal Snow

Our last encounter with Detroits Ethan Garcia sounded like this, an impertive remix needed for Ye’s, super personal ‘Only One’ featuring the last bobble head worthy greats of music, and Ri Ri. Two months, and what feels like an entire winter later Volknor has re-appeared. Bearing a five track EP, a child of love. His taking to reclusion has payed off in a way that just plain bursts out into the world again. ‘Eternal Snow’ is the second track off the self release entitled ‘The Blue Spirit’ . File under Future.
