You might recall the name Hybrid Theory. ‘Chapter One’ is the labels first complimentary compilation EP that comes chalk full of Bass House derivatives. Who doesn’t want to rave it up at a 30 000 person Freetekno party at a refurbished castle in the Loire Valley? If ‘reconnecting with your transcendental roots’ sounds like one hell of a fun time to you, then perhaps one of Sound Strider’s French techno festivals is in order. Until then, you’ll have to settle for this glitchy, IDM-influenced EP which was inspired by the psychedelic culture depicted in Tom Wolfe’s The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test.
