Steph’s Picks
Natasha Kmeto – Prideless (Ryan Wells Remix)
Local fav Ryan Well’s released this killer remix of Natasha Kmeto’s Prideless as part of the Bass Coast Remix Contest. It is by far my favourite entry so far and a track that has been on repeat on my iPod.

Moon Boots – C.Y.S.
French Express artist Moon Boots has been consistently putting out quality tracks over the past few years and his latest is no exception. CYS is a dreamy number that gives me that floaty, carefree feeling when i’m listening. It’s definitely putting me in the mood for summer with its light, fluffy and feel good vibes.

Droog Guest Mix for John Digweed
I’ve been really diggin’ this mix from Droog for the past month or so. Lately I just can’t seem to get enough of the deep, dark vibes. This mix has accompanied me on my journey to work and has helped set the mood for a long night of serving.

Nick’s Picks
Often us bloggers, like DJ’s I’m sure as well, find ourselves on a constant hunt for what’s fresh and new. Lately I’ve been taking a step back however, and peeking into the past library’s of newly discovered artists. Thanks to the many local groups such as Intimate, UnderG, You Plus One, Ginger62 & Timbre bringing through amazing international talent, I’ve discovered some of my current favourite tracks from DJ Tennis, Tom Trago, Nora En Pure & Kygo all featured below.
Metronomy – She Wants (Tennis Edit)

Mimi’s Picks
KID SMPL – JA
Seattle’s Kid Smpl delivers a ream worth of intricate, textured layers of contemplative sadness through all his tracks, “Ja” being no exception. Heady, corrosive, yet managing to maintain elegance, ‘noise’ has never been more beautiful. Be sure to visit SKMB on May 11 to catch our interview with Kid Smpl and to stream his EP, Silo Tear.

SEOUL – WHITE MORNING
Montreal’s trio, Seoul, offers crisp, ethereal, salt-of-the-earth freshness, neutralizing any toxicity your ears may have suffered from all that shitty top 40s we’re all subjected to while waiting in line at the store.

A.WARE – YELLOW WATERMELON
Tits and ass, lights and bling – this is your quintessential getting-ready-for-summer-parties tune. Atlanta’s A.ware (from hip hop duo Mach Five) spells the equation of house + rap = parting legs in sundresses.
