Monday, monday, monday. Such a busy week ahead! That’s why I’ve come to the rescue with another quick playlist of tracks that I can’t seem to get enough of. It’s a bit of a rocky road of a playlist, with bangers and chillers, but I think you’ll dig. FAWNA, Skrillex, NGHTMRE and Jayceeoh are up at bat – check it out:
Don’t forget to check out the video for Reverie by clicking HERE. It’s amazing.
That concludes our quick mix for this week. Check back ASAP and we’ll continue to feed you the dankest of the dank.
LOKI and Wildfire have been in the kitchen, cooking up some chill-ass vibes for you guys. Glad this one popped into my feed this morning – my Monday morning was looking pretty bleak otherwise!
Though Wildfire and LOKI are known for creating smooth but large bass heavy sounds, this remix is a bit of a departure; the rhythmic polyphonic chords allow a lot of space in the mix which helps the melody to shine loud and clear over top of Alina’s beautiful vocals.
Though the download is labelled as “Buy” you can grab it for free, as always, via Soundcloud.
This new mix from Vancouver’s own AkiMi takes you through the Silk Road of deep space, layering Eastern instrumentals with seductive vocals in an astral evocation of vibrating sound.
Richelle Akimi Yoshida is the quintessential dreamer, the gypsy spin weaver. This elegant purveyor of the ethereal mix fuses a deep bass fixation with contemplative & elevating sensibilities. Richelle’s initial roots are in the Kootenays, where she pulled her original influences from Shambhala’s early years, spurred on by sets from female artists like Lion-S & Ana Sia. Her intrinsic love of underground dance music has driven her to procure her own set of turntables, setting out to deliver a unique dose of bass therapy in both club & festival environments.
Catch her Thursday set at this year’s Shambhala Music Festival at the Living Room stage, and don’t forget to pick up your free downloads on her Soundcloud.

As one of the only DJ’s hitting up this year’s Squamish Valley Music Fest, Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth is one to watch in the upcoming year. Following recent LP Guilt Trips (and before than, aptly-named EP Still Awake, which seems to characterize that up-all-night kind of mood), his remix of Lorde’s Ribs is a laid-back melody fit for a catnap under the sun, or a Saturday morning spent cooking breakfast with a lover wearing your T shirt. Here’s hoping.
