Yooooo!!! for those of you that know me well, you know that I am a J-Dilla enthusiast. For those of you who don’t know me that well,  you should know that if your mom is hot, I am gonna be in there like swimwear. .. on the beach nude with free food… you know what I mean. So two things to know. If I mention Dilla, click on the link cos this shit is gonna be cool. Second thing, if I mention going to your mom’s place for dinner, just swerve homie. Swerve. So then, speaking of all that, the drums on this cut by Sun Cut Flat really bring me to that Dilla feel… the lazy kicks here and there, the relentless hat, the saturated snare. Earlier today I posted about music that sounds like a car commercial. Today is the day of that. I came across Kindatheart and thought, “welp, might as well throw this up to stay in the theme!” It’s good to rinse my mind of Trap and Electronica once in a while. Think of it kind of like a cleanse, only im not sucking down a bunch of god knows what and hittin the toilet every five minutes, each time coming out with a sadder look on my yoga-face.

This here, is a perfect 6 am, right before you take your 3 legged dog for a walk type  of song. I dig it. Often times I just don’t really get impressed by Trap cos the shit is too recycled nowadays but when a Trap song has character, I will support it. What happens when you have all the time in the world, a laptop, you’re not an idiot so you can learn things, and your responsibilities reach as far as not forgetting to take a shower? Sometimes you get up at 3 am, drink a glass of milk and scratch your cruddy balls then go back to bed. Other times, you wake up at 3 am, get on your laptop, THEN scratch your cruddy balls, and proceed to write up a song you came across not long before. Tonight is one of those nights. This SAXITY jawn has some cool ass horns in it and some dope vocals by Gabriella. Original was a track X Ambassadors, named Renegades. This is a nice organic flip.

Hello ladies and gents! Do you know what really grinds my gears? Well, lots of things. Such as those stupid plastic honey tups at Starbucks. They used to have these dope plastic packets but now they got these horrible jam packets full of honey. You open one and honey gets on your hands and you waste so much of it. I literally stopped going there because of it. Oh and lots of things in music…Especially in music…Artists singing with little to no soul, too many people looking to fit in instead of being original, you get the picture. It’s a mess. Well today I bring to you thirsty people, something ORIGINAL! “No way?!” you’re saying to yourselves, well YUP. This guy –  DUVCHI  (click this hyperlink and follow him).

He is a seasoned songwriter, and producer. Having had his songs recorded by artists such as Rihanna ( you mmaayybbbeee heard of her) also holding 3 grammy nominations on his album “With The World”. His new song “Sleep” is a dope pop tune, full of emotional epic strings and well tuned hiphop drum machines. I love how the tune deconstructs down to basic percussion on the verses, letting the good homie’s voice really do it’s thing. The song is honest. I dig it. Peep below!
