Flying Lotus – Ideas + Drafts + Loops

If, like me, you missed this free release when in came out internet decades ago (that is, last month), then here’s a little something interesting for FlyLo fans. The most hyped aspect of this download is probably the remix of Kanye’s ‘Black Skinhead’. What I find most intriguing about the release is the random, work-in-progress nature suggested by the title. It’s like a glimpse into the Coltrane relative’s mind – or maybe just his computer.

Without further adue Future Classics bring to you our first release by all round Canadian, Maxwell Vautour. All sounds derive from a shared love of sounds between ourselves and Maxwell. The general fusing of Hip Hop and Trap on the five track EP represent a current standing of the times and flavours in Electronic music as it is today. Sounds that both parties are very happy to be a working part of.

We will be testing blog release waters with Maxwell Vautour and his five track #maxdecent EP, due June 4th. All five tracks can be expected to be as diverse and yet singular in sound any EP you’ve never heard. Maxwell regularly remains in the realms oh Hip Hop and Rap opposed to Dance or Electronica, or subsequent sub-genres. Let ‘Welcome to Tokyo’ be your segway.
